The Juneau Job Center has organized a great opportunity for our families this year. They will be leading us on a tour of their facility to explain the services they provide and they will also be hosting a mini-hiring event with an assortment of tourism and youth-friendly employers available to talk with students about their job positions that are available. Everyone who attends will receive a folder with information for them to take with them about youth employment.

Tour portion: 2-3pm

Job Fair/Mini Hiring Event: 3-5pm (come/go as you please)

The Juneau Job Center is able to assist with resumes/applications, job searches, mock interviews, and proctoring of typing tests and WorkKeys in their resource room. They also utilize grant funding (both federal and state) to assist with post secondary education after high school graduation and individuals over the age of 18. This is not something a lot of students realize and they like to let students know before they take out loans for further education so they can talk with case managers about funding assistance.
